Men!!

Bloggers, this is the reason I'm going grey! I used to blame the kids, but since they all have grown and gone, hubby is top dog! I was so nervous here, not sure why I ran and got the camera, evidence maybe? He wanted to hang the swing in time for a family birthday gathering and wouldn't wait for the boys to help. Why must men try to do it all alone? I still can't believe he put the latter in the back of his truck and climbed up, he did get the swing hung and the kids enjoyed it, but still? Men!
We've been having the most perfect weather here since Saturday and it's suppose to continue all week, perfect meaning the windows can stay open, no heat or a/c and there is a nip in the air in the mornings, making coffee time even better! I've got the blue jays spoiled on peanuts, I place a few on the deck railing in the morning and in just minutes they are all gone. The blue jays swoop down, squawk for more and now it's become a morning ritual. I enjoy it as much as they do and I hope to catch one on camera. My dad who lived in California used to feed them too, out of his hand. I don't know if I'll get that brave but the love of birds has been passed down.
Just a reminder, you have till Friday to get signed for my followers giveaway, scroll down to that post and leave a comment, the odds are good with only 19 signing in so far. It's been a busy time here, work has picked up, my back is feeling alot better (thanks to all for the well wishes) and I'm trying to catch up outside in the yard and gardens. Life is good, treasure each day!

Men are just little boys at heart ... they think they are invincible! You might want to change "latter" to "ladder" since he put the ladder in the back of the pickup and climbed up to hang the swing. Hopefully, he got the swing hung and all is well! Have a great day!!

  4. Yikes, I think I just grew a few more gray hairs too! Men make me laugh...I don't think the "little boy" in them ever goes away and thus the "adventurous and I can" attitude stays.

  5. He probably just loved it that you scolded him for doing a "prank"...if he had been younger, you would have spanked him!

  6. Yes, I agree that was scary. Guys think they're invincible though, don't they? Glad to hear your back is better. I stubbed my little toe the other day and wince everytime I put a shoe on. It's getting cooler at night here again. I've put the covers back on the bed. Don't want to end up sick again. xxoo

  7. Men enjoy doing daring stuff like that. Makes them feel like your hero. Good that he got the swing hung and lived to tell the tale. Loved your photo!

  8. Hi Sue, good to hear you are keeping busy.Spring is just that time isn't it. Maybe it is called Spring because it puts a 'spring' in our step and makes us feel so good. I am glad your back is getting better. We have a few nice days but now the rains are back for awhile. i've got to get my annuals and tomatoes planted. I see you have roses blooming--ours are quite ready yet. I cannot believe it is almost a year since you moved. How's the lady who bought your other house doing?
    Take care, MB

  10. I think if my husband did something like that, he would be taking me to the emergency room for heart failure!
