Another Pinterest Project!

About a month ago, someone on my Facebook page posted a photo of a bright blue dresser that was made into a kitchen island that they had shared from Pinterest, so of course, I had to share it with my Facebook friends, it was a beauty!  The light bulb went off in my head, bright may I add, because I had a old green cabinet that was given to me, it's been in my shabby shed, so with tape measure in hand, I made sure it wasn't too big for my kitchen, and the rest is history! Above is the before and afters, it got painted the cream color to match my hutch that I redid over the winter. I love it the way it is, but I'm tempted to paint the door panels with chalkboard paint, what do you think? Oh, the decisions!

FALL APRON SWAP UPDATE:
Due to the lack of swappers, I'm canceling this swap! No biggie, I understand how life can get busy and all, but stayed tuned, I will host a Christmas apron swap and if we get enough for that, it can make up for the fall swap! Sew on... and sew on! lol

  1. Hi Friend Sue,
Just wanted to tell you that you have great variety in your etsy shop. I've really got to get busy and put something in mine. I just haven't had much time to sew or craft lately.

    Have a great week!

  2. I think you oughta go for it and paint it with the chalkboard paint. You could put in a scripture or a greeting of sorts. The idea is great thanks!

  3. Great job! We did the same thing in our kitchen and it's the best ever use for an old cabinet.

Sue, what a coincidence, I have a dresser base which I cannot decide what colour to paint, duck egg blue or a shade of white. I love the colours in your header and the wee chicken is so sweet. Thank you for your welcome to blogland.

  5. I like the idea of using chalk board paint...I know you would find a lot of creative ways to use it.
