MotherHood

Day 15 of a month of me deserves more than a post, so I hope I deliver my message as intended. The best part of my life has been being a Mom, I have been blessed with giving birth to three wonderful sons, and then raising a Fourth son and a daughter by marriage. I don't use the word step, never have. I may not have gave birth to them, but I raised them like my own and we all survived! We are a family. I may not have been the best Mom I could of been, but I never gave up and all five have turned out pretty well if I do say so myself!
Motherhood is a career, not just a job. It's not how you start out, it's how you finish. I'm proud of each one for their own accomplishments, we are family and I treasure mine! Motherhood deserves more than it gets, so I'm hosting a fast little giveaway just for you Moms, a book to add to your library, so leave me a comment HERE, remember this one is just for Moms of all ages! I'll draw a winner on Friday!
Motherhood has been my mission in life, I take it seriously and I honor you Moms for all you do! Good luck !

  1. Thank you so much for the opportunity for a free book. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE books! I work at my public library so you can probably guess I have ALOT of books at home. Yes, Motherhood is probably the most rewarding and most time consuming thing in life (if it's done right!)

  2. Well said Sue! I think Motherhood is the most honorable thing a woman can choose to do. And it should be a choice not undertaken lightly either.

  4. Lovely post! I've never been a Mom, but I have been the favorite babysitter.

We lost our own Mom two years ago, and we still miss her alot, but I think Moms and Grandmoms are the best ever. They impart the wisdom of the years and memories we would not have had if it wasn't for them. Memories of family and days gone by. How to make everyday count. The unconditional love for their children, and children they may not have given birth to. Our Mom loved all our friends as if she HAD given birth to them. They loved and respected her right back.

It fills my heart to the brim to know that there are still Moms out there like that. You're one of them in my book. xxoo

  6. Mom`s have a tough job and I`m so grateful my son grew to be a thoughtful decent person. My mother-in-law told me "your babies are always your babies though they be two or thirty". She was so right.

  7. Well I'll jump in, Sue. I am Mother to 4 lovely daughters. They turned out fine--fine a frog hair--a friend of mine always says that.

I like your 'Month of Me' posts. clever idea. MB

  8. Motherhood, the hardest job you will ever have that you get next to no training for. I wanted a dozen children and ended up having just two by choice. Had to raise them alone because their father was always on the road. So adding more would have been just crazy. I had one of each and Im grateful for that. I think for me the greatest thing about being a mom was later when they were grown. To see what they did learn from me when I thought they didnt pay attention is amazing. And to hear them say......they knew who the parent was....made me know then I did all the right things.

Now they have lil ones of their own. Im a gramma and thats the best for sure. But I seem over the the yrs to have become MOM to everyone they know too and all come here for food and loving.

We dont always know if we are a mom or have the makings for it.....but over time you see the results and know you earned that title MOM. :)
