I usually make and give jams and jellies for Christmas gifts and hopefully I will be able to get one batch made and deliver soon. Just thought I'd share this easy recipe with you, in case you too want to make and give a yummy treat of a gift or make a batch for yourself, you will thank me in the dead of winter while you enjoy a spoon of Christmas time on toast.
2 c. cranberries
1 orange, peeled & quartered
16 oz. frozen strawberries, thawed
3 c. sugar
3 oz. liquid pectin
5 half pint jars (ready to fill)
Coarsely grind cranberries and orange sections in a food processor. Spoon into a heavy saucepan, add strawberries and sugar. Bring mixture to a full boil, stirring for one min. Remove from heat and stir in pectin, skim off foam. Pour into prepared jars and process for 10 min. Makes 5- 1/2 pints
I enjoy making jams and jellies, curds too and I love to share them as well.
Thanks to those who have joined the ranks of followers, I hope you enjoy your stay and come back often. Remember you have till the 20th to get signed up for my last giveaway of the year, one to thank my fan base for declaring their bloggy love! lol Another busy weekend here, were off to the big city tomorrow to finish up our Christmas shopping before the next snow storm hits our area on Monday. Hope your weekend is full of bright blessings and a little Christmas jam too!
