O' Christmas Tree...

Tradition for many is putting up the Christmas tree right after Thanksgiving, and that is what I have planned for this weekend, hopefully! This is our first Christmas in this house and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed as to where everything should go. I'll probably change it a few times before I settle, but at this rate, it's going to take me a week! I found this lovely tree over at Cottage in the Making, where there are more posted for inspiration. I just love this tree! But first comes my Alpine Tree, I have it set up in the library and once decorated in my gingerbread collection, will greet young and old with a smile and a taste for gingerbread cookies. We also put up a real tree in the living room, to me, it just isn't Christmas without a real tree and pine smell that fills the house. I'll be posting photos as the house gets all decked out, so stay tuned. I'm loving all the Christmas trees in blogland too!

Today's thankful moment is for the holiday spirit that will soon fill the air, not only in tunes and yummy smells, but the kindness of others that the season always seems to bring out in people. This time of giving means even more, sharing food and grace, and making sure all children will have a nice Christmas, so they too will know the spirit is still alive.

  1. Lovely sentiment Sue. I still believe in Santa, even at my age. He will forever live in my heart. And I will always remember the blessed birth of our Lord Jesus during this time too. Can't wait to see your decorations. xxoo
