Harvest Home

What a perfect fall afternoon it has become! We were woken early by hurricane Ike's strong winds and 3 inches of rain, all at once! Tree limbs are everywhere, nothing big, others weren't so lucky, losing huge old trees, I'm grateful! I can only imagine the impact on the gulf course, my heart goes out to them! After helping hubby clean up the yard and pumping out the root cellar, I got in the mood to do a little crafting, working on a fall wreath right now but I found some festive inspiration while blogging that I want to share with you, just in case you too are in the mood to spruce up your home for the harvest season, the harvest home.

You can find daily to do's, fall round ups and many great ideas at One Pretty Thing, new to me but not for long, what a crafty site! Another fun site is Joys of Home, with easy fall decorating ideas and links galore! So, if your spending this delightful Sunday afternoon browsing for inspiration, check out these two neat sites, pass them along and be sure to sample the delicious home feeling you will find there.........and I'll be starting to decorate our home this week, I can't wait any longer!!

  4. Thanks for sharing those sites, Sue. I'll be checking them out.

We just had tree branches down, too, but there are a lot of trees down in some places here. Sure hope Ike is the last serious hurricane of the year. The people along the coast have really suffered this season.

It's good to hear you came through okay. We had 5 inches of rain Saturday night and Sunday, added to the 5.5 inches we had Thursday night and Friday. That was measured in our rain gauge. Don't know the official amount. We don't see any trees or limbs down, but we did spring a leak in the roof over the powder room. The doorbell just rang..I think the guy is here to see what we can do with the roof. Hope it's easy!

  8. Hi Friend Sue,
We got a lot of rain in Carthage, too.

No flooding for us this time, Praise God!

I put out my Autumn things yesterday afternoon and wore my Autumn vest last night when we invited friends over for dessert.

My Honey thought I was pushing things; but, I informed him that my friends had already done it and Fall starts at the end of this week!

    God bless you!
