Super Tuesday

Well, I joined half of the country and voted first thing this morning so I could beat the rush and the rain and I did! Super Tuesday may just go down in history as one of the most watched and attended primarys, we shall see? I hope all who could, did exercise thier right to make a difference.
Super Tuesday also means a short but sweet catch up and run down here, fitting for the day. I drew a name for the dessert cookbook giveaway for all who joined in on the Valentine swap and the winner was Joy of Down Branch Road, congrats again Joy! I hope you will bake up something sweet for you and the hubby! Speaking of sweet, Gooseberry Patch is once again looking for recipes, so if you'd like to submit a recipe for thier next cookbook, check it out at thier link www.gooseberrypatch.com
And a dear old friend is hosting a contest on her gardening website so if you'd like a chance to win some seeds for your spring garden, head over to www.thegardenersrake.com and read all about it. Denise has really worked hard on her site, and it offers tons of information and links to help you plan and plant your next garden. This contest is to encourage Victory and Community gardens, both of which are very much needed and valued. You have 2 weeks to submit your tips, travia or history related to gardening, so if your green thumb is itching, check it out and enter soon. And last but not least, I can't tell you the fun I've had reading all the comments from lurkers a couple of posts back. I"m so happy to see you and read your blogs, your all so kind and I appreacite you coming out of lurkville! I hope you will all leave comments more often so others can get to know you too! So, go out and be super, vote! Happy Tuesday!!

    Hi Friend Sue!

I heard this morning on the news that the demographic of Mo is similar to the U.S. demographic. That makes us a state to watch.

Kind of makes you feel important, doesn't it?

    God bless!

  5. Hi Sue,
I'm trying to catch up tonight and just wanted to pop in and say hello. I also want to thank you for coming by to visit and for you prayers. DH was released by the doctor today to go back to work. The blood thinner is finally doing its job. I'll be back later to read everything!

    Hugs,
    Hope

We didn't get to vote on Super Tuesday because we are registered Independents and in Oklahoma that means we don't count.

    Congrats to Joy!

Thanks for the heads up about Gooseberry Patch. I got the email the other day and forgot about it. I have a recipe published in the Slow Cooker book that they published last year.

Thank you sue for mentioning my Victory Garden Contest. Victory gardens link back to war times and with the US where it is today I believe its important to take these old programs back up.

Thank you also for agreeing to judge the entries! You are the best and the warmth in you blog shows it. Hugs Denise,
