Here Chick, Chick, Chick

It's September peeps, and I'm so excited for this month and the next few months ahead! Our weather is behaving it's self and is reasonable, which not only makes me happy but my girls are enjoying it too! Hubby is busy building nest boxes as they could gift us with a few eggs before winter, till then, they are content to forage for bugs and raid the garden, what is left of it!

I've got some news to cluck about too, but will save it for a future post, soon. Till then, it's time to catch up on the weeding, decorate for fall and start stocking up for winter. IF the almanac is right, we may have a bad winter this year, so chickies, take inventory of your pantry and freezers and start stocking up each week, to make the load a bit lighter and manageable. It's always smart to think ahead and try to be prepared! Hatch a plan today!

  1. Love that beautiful Hen!!! We still need to move our freezer from the Home we are selling. I hope to get it stocked up. It has been awhile since we had a bad winter...I expect it is time we had a snowy cold one here. Blessings!

  4. Good Morning, I have been cleaning out my pantry throwing away, out dated can goods. I had only a few of them and put the older ones up front. I have to tell you I am not sure what kind of winter we may be having this year. But I have been concerned about the prices of food in the future. I was shell shocked everytime I went to the market in this last year.
My girls have no feathers, they better get to the store and get chicken coats if they don't get some soon! LOL Blessings, Roxy
