Christmas in July Giveaway!
It's heating back up here, after the most pleasant week ever recorded! But it is July, and it should to be hot, but that doesn't mean I have to like it, as long as the A/C keeps us cool, I don't mind it! July is also the perfect time for a reader appreciation giveaway: Christmas in July! Since you've been more than patient with me and my blog, it's only fair that I host a giveaway, it's been awhile too, I just wish I could reward you all! But, one lucky winner will receive a surprise Christmas themed package, as my way to say thank you for keeping Country Pleasures in your blogroll!
All you have to do is leave a comment in this post, tell us if your working on a project/gift for the holidays or just say "Hi". If your a follower, you'll get your name thrown in twice, but do let me know so I can double check it, to be fair. You'll have 2 weeks to do so, will be closing this on July 22 at midnight, so don't put it off! And to all, a big THANK YOU for reading my blog and becoming a friend for life! I'll leave you with one stay cool tip, when it gets really hot outside, I like to trick my mind into thinking it's a cooler season by listening to Christmas music while sewing or cleaning, or watching a Christmas movie with snow in it! Hey, a girl's gotta do what a girl has to do to keep her cool! lol Good luck to all and to all some bloggy love!

ReplyDeleteNo big holiday themes right now or crafts or projects. Maybe later as retirement sets in. With our long winters I tend to not think about Christmas, cold or snow until December if I can :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful theme though and giveaway...I enjoy reading your blog!!
I am a follower♥ and love the Christmas in July giveaway idea. It would be fun to win a Christmas present. :)

ReplyDeleteHi Sue,
ReplyDeleteI've been listening to Christmas music once in awhile. I am enjoying the cooler than 106 summer we've been having. The last two summers were scorchers.
Anyhow, a couple of nights ago, I made some sparkly stars for my Christmas tree. I cut them from card stock, painted them with glue, then sprinkled glitter over them. They came out so pretty, maybe I should write up a post on my blog.
Anyhow, I do need to sit down and make a project list. It will be a homemade Christmas at Harvest Lane Cottage this year!
I think I'm going to put on some Christmas music right now!

Thank you for the giveaway chance.

I think you are spot on! I was in Hobby Lobby and the Halloween and Thanksgiving stuff is out so Christmas must be right around the corner. . .even if it is 100 degrees here in the piney woods of east Texas.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue. I posted a snowy mountain picture on my blog the other day. We like it cool!! How nice of you to have a give-away. MaryBeth
ReplyDeleteI had my own "Christmas in July" moment a few days ago when I was sick with the flu and watched "Funny Farm", one of my favorite Christmas movies. Always makes me feel better! Corny, yes, but still good.:)

Oh how I love Christmas! I live about a 10 hr drive from my family and don't see them often. This year I'm working to plan to visit on Thanksgiving and celebrate Christmas with them then since I don't like to be away from home on Christmas. I'm hoping for a homemade Christmas with them and requesting that all gifts be homemade. I better get to work planning what I'm gonna make.
ReplyDeleteWatching a movie with some snow in it does sound good Sue! lol Christmas only six months away huh? lol How sweet of you to have a giveaway. Please don't throw my name in the hat though... I want someone else to win!
ReplyDeleteI'm not workin on much these days. Too busy gardening. But I guess in some ways that's become a creative place in me too. Have a great weekend chicky!
I have been working on a red work quilt for my living room. I do follow you thru google.
ReplyDeleteAnd here I've been sticking my head in the freezer...LOL. I've been following you for a while. Keep cool!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI'd like to enter. I'm a fairly new reader and follower. At present, I'm working on 22 cloth Angel ornaments to give as Christmas gifts to my Homemaker's Club members. I have the wings and skits cut out, next is stitching and some gluing. I'll post one when I'm finished.
