Tasty Tuesday

I must confess, in all my baking and creating, I still can't make a cinnamon roll from scratch! I've tried too, many times, not in many years but I've given it a good try! But, that doesn't stop me from whipping up a close second and much easier! So, for now, till I master those gooey rolls, I'm cheating and making these cinnamon roll cookie bars from Blissful Whimsy! You know, it's probably a good thing I don't know how to make them, just saying...... Enjoy!

Cinnamon Roll Cookie Bars

Ingredients
1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 cup melted butter
2 eggs
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon

Icing
2 tablespoons milk
2 cups powdered sugar

Directions
Mix all ingredients and pour into a greased 9"x 13" baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
When perfectly baked remove from the oven and pour icing over the top.

  6. You know something? I can't make cinnamon rolls either, I have tried so many times but they always go south sometime during the rising process. So, I am so tickled to see you have found something to replace the actual cinnamon roll (for now....) So encouraging! Thanks for sharing.
