Tasty Tuesday

I had planned a post before now, but my internet was out again after a mild storm, a bigger storm in brewing if my internet provider doesn't get their act together soon!  And soon, it'll be time for our annual Fall Fun Nite, where family and friends gather here, everyone brings a dish and chairs, we sit around a bon fire and eat while visiting. The kids crave pumpkins, bob for apples and go on a hay ride all in a effort to celebrate autumn and all it's glory!! So, I've been combing through my recipe drawer for a easy cookie recipe and found one of my favorites! It's simple and you can make any flavor cookie just by the cake mix you use!!! And the cake mix cookie was born!!! Add chocolate chips, raisins, nuts and you have one good cookie!!

Cake Mix Cookies

1 box cake mix
1 t. baking powder
2 eggs
1/2 c. canola oil
1 c. chocolate chips

Blend dry ingredients well then add eggs and oil. Mix again, well. Add chocolate chips or other add ins and fold in. Drop my spoonfuls on prepared cookie sheets and bake for 10 mins. in a preheated 350 oven. Cool.

And it's that easy!! Can't you imagine the possibilities and flavors! I'm making a caramel cake cookie with caramel icing for our bash this weekend, of course, I'll have to make a practice batch! Enjoy!!!

  4. Girl I've never made cookies from cake mixes before but have heard of it. I'm thinking it'd be kinda dangerous though coz normally when I make a cake mix... I eat half the batter raw first. mi bad* Can hardly help myself ...lovelovelove raw white cake mix... yellow too... not chocolate though. SO... these cookies... eeekkk... could be seriously dangerous. The picture of the choco chip ones is so pretty! Are they crumbly or moist? Love all your recipes and visiting my favorite lil country pleasure. Have a blessed day chicklet. Those storms are brewing... i can feel it here too. Be safe friend! They said severe weather... possible tornadoes. Praying for you....
