I feel like a slug today, caught a cold from my granddaughter plus were still socked in with fog, which I don't mind, the cold can pass though.......so I'm cheering myself up by planning my spring garden projects using Pinterest! Not only is this site for swooning over all the pretties, yummy recipes and cute things to make, it's also a very useful tool in planning, be it a garden, remodel or anything really! You can create a board on any subject and start saving all the information right there, very handy and cleaver! So, now I'm on a hunt for a old gate so I can make this charming window box!
I'm definitely trying this, they claim you can grow 100 lbs of potato's in a 4 foot square space! Sounds perfect to me and it's on the to do list!
Another keeper, the $50 greenhouse, great for my budget and will help get a jump on the growing season adding more savings, love it!!
And last, but not least and I don't know why I didn't think of this one, the cheapest greenhouse ever, well, the effects of a greenhouse that you can move about then indoors at night! Cleaver and cheap, right up my alley!! Planning for spring projects sure has made me feel better on this gloomy day and I'm one step closer to being prepared for my favorite season of all, gardening!!! If your still in the dark about Pinterest, check it out, light bulbs will go off in your head each and every time you visit and add to your boards! This much fun and inspiration in one place is genius!!
I love the gate idea! I am sure you will be able to find one of those. Just show us your creation. All of the ideas are great. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteWe are moving this summer, and I've been pinning kitchen and sewing room ideas!
ReplyDeleteohhh! the floral gate photo has me wishing for Summer....as I look out over our snow covered field.
ReplyDeleteThanx for the supper garden ideas... I like the 'container' idea, I could put them on the balcony by day & bring them in by night! Great tip!
>^..^<
I grow my potatoes similarly. I had my dearest hubby build me 2 foot x 2 foot squares that are 12 inches deep. I plant potatoes in the first box, cover them with dirt, then when they sprout, cover them with the next box and more dirt. Next I add more potatoes and continue building the stack taller. You save a lot of room!
ReplyDeleteI swear I pin half your pins... but I didn't see the greenhouse one. Fifty bucks? egads... I LOVE PINTEREST don't you? You know it's gotta be suffocating the mag market coz I saw the newest Flea Market magazine on the shelf last week. I picked it up, thumbed through it and set it back on the shelf! YES WAY JOSE. I didn't buy it! Alls I could think was... I dont need this.. I have pinterest now. lol
ReplyDeleteI love this idea with the tubs to move around. The sides are tall enough that come Spring I wouldnt have them full of toads either. lol
Not that toads are a bad thing.
