National Smore's Day

I bet you didn't know that today is National Smore's Day, now did you? I didn't either till I heard it on the news this morning and thought it might make a good blog post for today. Who doesn't love a gooey smore? We sure do and have a firepit in the yard where we gather for get togethers and yes, making smores is always a favorite past time, esp. for the kids. What I didn't know was the many ways to make them, and this website offers several to choose from, so if you need a new combo for this old favorite check out CDKitchen for all the smores love you can handle! And thank a girl scout for creating this summer time treat, they made them famous and so tasty too! Oh, and you don't need a fire to make a smore, you can cheat and use the microwave so treat the family tonight and celebrate National Smore's Day in style!

  1. Yum! One of my favorites! I remember making them in GS! Will have to use the microwave today...it is just too hot here in Texas to make a fire! Guess I could just set them out on the driveway...I'm sure we'd have melted marshmellows in no time! thanks for sharing!

  10. Hi Sue. I posted a link back to this post on my blog today....I'm asking forgiveness because I didn't think to ask permission before I did it...:-)
I had no idea that there was such a day as Nat. S'mores Day! This is such a fav with our fam that I have chocolate bars hidden in my freezer (mostly hidden from myself) for the sudden occasion that would call for some s'mores! LOL Thanks so much for the heads up. Hope you can enjoy some s'mores this weekend! ♥ Lewaina

  11. That looks delicious! Love s'mores. A friend of mine had a firepit in her yard and we ALWAYS made s'mores. That became such a bad habit we had to stop it completely LOL.

    All the best,
    Allison
