Tea for Two

Since it's the season for hot drinks and I've posted a few recipes and giveaways on the subject, I had to share this recipe for Chai Tea Latte with you, it's perfect for two! I've only recently tried Chai tea, last year in fact and have loved it ever since so this latte is a must do if you too enjoy a good cup of Chai.

Chai Tea Latte
2 tea bags
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. allspice
1 c. water
1 milk
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. liquid french vanilla non dairy creamer
Whipped cream and nutmeg, optional
Place tea bags, cinnamon, ginger and allspice in the coffee filter of a drip coffee maker. Add water and brew. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan combine the milk, brown sugar, and creamer. Cook and stir over med. heat till hot and sugar is dissolved. Pour milk mixture into mugs, stir in tea. Top with whipped cream and a dash of nutmeg on top. Serves 2.

This hot drink goes well while decorating the house for Christmas, wish I had some made because I'm still dragging out forgotten treasures and making room for them, in just the right spot of course. Both trees are finished and casting their magical glow. Christmas trees went up this year, no surprise but at this rate ( $25 for a Douglas fir) we may have to switch to artificial someday or grow our own....here there's a thought?

We've got a good start to the hot cocoa giveaway so keep signing up, you have till the 10th, just leave a comment below on that post. I'm glad to read that most so far make their own, it is so much better, isn't it. Have you ever had frozen hot cocoa? I have the recipe somewhere, if I can find it I'll post it too! Back to decorating, twas......

  7. Oh my, I must try this one!

By the way, I'm going to start writing at my wordpress blog again. www.lauraofharvestlane.wordpress.com.

For some crazy reason, I still get more traffic there than I do on blogger, even though I've barely written for months.

I just like the pretties available on blogger.
