Holiday House Tours

If your looking for inspiration on decorating your home for the holidays these two tours are just for you! Pat from Back Porch Musing fame and an fellow Missourian has the gift to transform a house into a winter wonderland full of Christmas magic!
Her creations are amazing, you will feel like you have walked inside one of those fancy home magazines. Treat yourself and pay her a visit!

Then, to top off the stroll, head over to Hooked on Houses for some bloggy land love, full of Christmas spirit and tons of great ideas from bloggers all over! Grab a cupcake while your there and savor the sweetness!

I've got cupcakes in the oven too, making some holiday cakes for the kids. We dodged the worse of the storm over night, getting only a dusting of ice. But the temp is bitter cold, not expected to get to 20 even today? Thank you all for your good thoughts, I appreciate it. I also know so many more have it worse than us. This whole week is suppose to be a winter mix so who knows what we will end up with. Winter is early, even in Nevada where my sister woke up to a rare 4 inches of snow? Once the cupcakes are done, homemade soup is next, a good night for it, cuz it's not fit for man or beast out there! Burr.....

  1. Oh I so agree! It's so cold. We drove home from a late night show at Branson last night. God blessed us with safety. We actually followed a semi who was following a sand truck for a long way along I-44. We didn't lose control until we exited 44. Honey started to lose control on the ice just as we entered 71 North. God was so good. He just had his angels scoot the car in the right direction; and, Lowell regained control.

School was cancelled and the roads are icy; but, we're safe inside. Taco Soup is in the crock pot. It should start tempting us with it's spicy aroma soon.

    Blessings to you Friend Sue.

    Hi Sue
Thank you for mentioning the Back Porch. Thank you for the compliment on my/our decorating!

Not much ice up in this neck of the woods. We are to get something overnight though. We were expecting it last night. We've cancelled all appointments for this week, just in case. I have soup makings...we don't mind being "snowed in". Happened a few times in the back pasture!

I heard ya'll had some kind of storm down your way!

  3. Yes its cold here but not as cold as you. Keep warm, your really need a wood buring stove or something. We have been running the pellet stove all the time and so far so good. Its been spitting snow off and on all day and more to come. Most of it has melted away. Enjoy your time home. I have 24,25,26 off and 1st and 2nd off, not too bad. Hope you get your stuff soon and the weather not hold it up. Keep Warm and love you all.

  4. We were in the 60's again today! I cannot wait for Winter and snow to get here. It felt more like Easter weather than Christmas weather.

I received the giveaway package today and have done a post in your honor. Thanks so much again for picking my name sweet Sue! xxoo

  5. Hey Sue! I have been missing you! I have been rather busy lately and haven't had time to visit properly like I normally do. So I'm trying to do some quick visits today.

I love your new header photo! It is just adorable! What a cute couple you are!

Stay safe & warm! Have a great week!

  6. I love looking at houses decorated for Christmas, too, Sue. And Pat's house is beautiful all year!

I'll take a look at the other links this afternoon.

We are icy down here, too. But, like you I am thankful that we still have our power. This is just a tiny ice storm compared to what we had back in 2001. I'm baking cookies this afternoon and we're having homemade soup for lunch!
