Sundays are Special

Another Sunday in the neighborhood and it's still cold here, feels more like January than November but the forecast for winter says we are to have a mild one, so if we must have this cold now to make way for a warmer winter, I'm game! And speaking of game, deer season has ended in our family, after a week of freezing their bums off in the deer stands, seeing none and coming to find out that other hunters were on their lease land, they have given up a few days early. With the only one bagging a deer on opening day, Tyler did share his harvest but what a disappointment, for them. I saw more deer out my kitchen window, where it's nice and warm than they did. But I guess it's all part of it.

The count down is on, isn't it and what a busy week we have ahead. Cleaning is on the top of my to-do list this week, then comes the baking and hopefully by Thursday morning, all I have to do is cook the turkey and potatoes. Hopefully? I'll also be picking a winner for my holiday coffee giveaway on Tuesday when I'll start the sister giveaway for tea lovers. So, anyone who hasn't entered the coffee giveaway still has till Tuesday morning, cuz once I'm home and in between cleaning, I'll pick the winner and the coffee will go that weekend. Good luck to all who entered.

Today, I'm thankful for my church and the family created there. We've only been a member for a year now but it feels like home, the people are so nice, inviting and caring. It sure helps to make worshiping more meaningful, fellowship more special and the week ahead more prepared. I hope you too have a special Sunday family to call your own!

  1. Sounds like you have it all planned out. Hope everything falls into place for you. My Sunday family is all my blog friends, and a nice call to Sister B. We spent some quality time on the phone and it's always nice to hear what she and Sister N have been doing. Sister S will probably email me tonight and Sister P I'll hear from before Thanksgiving. I am blessed to have all my sisters close to me even though they are far away. xxoo

  2. My husband went deer hunting on Saturday, too, but no deer. He saw plenty of does but no buck and its buck season here. But we're still hoping to fill our freezer before the season ends.

I've spent the evening making aprons for Christmas gifts that I'll give this coming weekend. They turned out so pretty ... lots of pink and trim.

If I don't get back before ... wishing you lots of joy this Thanksgiving!

    Love,
    Lea
