The Great Pumpkin Month!
Am I the only one who feels like September buzzed by without a blink? Getting older really does force you savor the days, months and time in general, and I'm all for celebrating the small things, like autumn! I added some fall goodies to the kitchen and I'm working on the porch and shabby shed! I believe in honoring the seasons and fall is my favorite!!
October arrives early next week and with it brings all things pumpkin, so look for more posts/recipes using the great pumpkin! I just wish I had planted some this year, they are very expensive this year, due to the flooding I'm sure so I will be stocking up on the canned crop! So, hope you made your homemade vanilla for all the baking were about to do! Happy Fall!

Your home is so cozy and looks good in all the seasons....Not liking all the Christmas decor blending in with autumn. :-/
ReplyDeleteGood Morning!
ReplyDeleteYes, Sue September buzzed by just like all the other months this year! We have got a lot of pumpkins this year, but some seemed really soft, kinda weird. I am going to do a post on making vanilla myself.
My daughter and I just made some last month. I have been using Rum for it this time. I hope you have fun decorating your shed!
Blessings, Roxy
Your blog is really lovely !!
ReplyDeleteI also love Fall and cooking and, if Summer engages me in the garden, Fall rediscovers me gladly in the kitchen ;)
And pumpinks makes me so much joy, for me they're the typical "fruit" of this wonderful coming season!
All the best
Dany
Hi Sue,
ReplyDeleteYes, pumpkins are high this year. $5 at Wal-Mart. I cannot imagine what they are at the pumpkin patches.
