It's fair week here in small town USA, a summer event for thousands who come from many counties to see the livestock, rodeo, truck pull and carnival rides, yet for me, it's all about the photography competition! I can't get any better place than last year's Best of Show but it's fun trying! Plus, it's a wonderful teaching tool, to enter your best shots and compete against other's, or just gain ideas for next year! You never what the judges are looking for, but here are my 4 entries for 2013, wish me luck!
Mill Wagon: Digital Manipulation
Fall Mums : Scenic
Mary's Bug: Still Life
Jesse James: Black & White
I love fair time! Our big county fair doesnt take place until September.Good luck with your picture entries! They are stunning!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, Best of Show, congratulations!! That's so neat.
ReplyDeleteGood luck this year! All your entries are wonderful, my favorite is the mums.

Good luck Sue!! I don't know which one I like best??? The colors in the MUM wagon shot are spectacular! The mill wagon is so cool the way you colorized the "living" plants and gave the box some barn red! The Artsy bug still life takes me back to days of my own still life... and I love the simplicity of the small black n white Jesse James workwear button. I love seeing through your lens and wish you lots of luck! Wish I could come to your Fair!
ReplyDeleteGirl, your photos are amazing. I wish we lived closer. I'd have you give me some pointers.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you!

I love going to the fair and seeing all the exhibits. We don't have one here anymore but you've given me an idea to go online and see if I can find one in a town nearby. Good luck with your photography. I'll be entering some of mine in a contest in September.

I have a feeling you may be a winner again this year...love the mums photo.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you, Sue. Your images all are excellent.
ReplyDeleteI used to (always!) enter the Stanwood Fair but haven't for the past two years---maybe I wll this year. It is in august. MB
I wonder if there's a way you could sell prints of your photography?
ReplyDeleteThey're that good.
