Tasty Tuesday
So, I've got all my special baking done, my Valentines delivered, the snow is melting and I can now devote the rest of the day to "our" Valentine meal. Nothing fancy, not even the dessert and you can't celebrate the day of love without some form of a chocolate dessert! I can't, anyway! So, I've come up with something different for us this year, other than the usual cake or brownie dessert that has become the normal lately. After searching all morning, I took two ideas and made one, a rich chocolate mousse that is easy and delish with coffee!
Chocolate Mocha Mousse
8 oz. good chocolate ( don't skimp here, splurge! )
1 c. coffee ( I used leftovers)
1/2 c. marshmallow cream
Cool Whip
Strawberries for garnish
Place coffee in a heavy duty saucepan, add chocolate ( by the square or chopped) and stir till dissolved over med. to low heat. Remove. Add marshmallow cream and with mixer, blend well on low till it thickens. Pour into small bowls and top with a spoon of cool whip and refrigerate. Serve cold with strawberries.
