Color Combos
What is it about certain colors that you just can't live without? I've gone through so many color combinations in my home, each one pleasant and fun but I'm finding as I get older, I want MORE color! As you know, I re-did 3 rooms this past winter and yes, they haven't changed yet! But one room is my favorite and I can't get enough of red & aqua, I'm even having visions of re-doing the kitchen in these colors, but I'm afraid my patient hubby might object to that one! Let me work on him for a bit.........
So, I'm wondering, what is YOUR favorite color combo and where do you use it? Paint is wonderful isn't it, how it can change a room over night and for under $20! Come on now, share your love of color with us, I'm anxious to hear your choices!

I love red and aqua too, just look at my blog! I am into greens right now...do you think it is because of our hot hot summer?
ReplyDeleteI love green. My kitchen is green and so is my bedroom. It is a very calming color. And it is my favorite color. :)
ReplyDeleteI love red and aqua. My kitchen is red now and I am slowly adding some aqua/turquoise. Can't wait to see what you do.

I haven't found a way to use it but saw a bedroom done in apple green and black it was beautiful.

ReplyDeleteOh red and aqua are my favorite combo right now. I am redoing my kitchen in the colors. I already have reds but I am painting the walls a light aqua color.
ReplyDeleteIn my last home my kitchen cabinets were white and I had red and aqua accents. It was so cute.
ReplyDeleteThat won't work in my log home and I'm really thinking of painting my cabinets red.
Read my post today if you have time and tell me what you think!
I love red and aqua too and my sister and I are currently revamping a vintage camper with the color scheme!
ReplyDeleteHello Sue,
ReplyDeleteIn the last five years I have been into earth tones; brown tones, dark reds or greens. I could use a change maybe some new colors. I like the red and aqua.

I have off white walls, then add color with everything else.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you ~ the older I get the more color I MUST have in my life! Aqua/red, pink/green, blue/green, the list goes on and on!

I am currently on a cottage colour kick... painting the inside with buttercup yellows, coastal cool blues, to frosted pine trees... and my husband thinks I need to start up a Painters Addiction Meeting
ReplyDeleteI am going through a red and aqua phase at the moment too!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is painting/decorating her living room, kitchen and formal dining room in Aqua and red!! It is looking so good so far. The walls in her dining room are stark white with two walls painted red. The living room walls are aqua with white trim and the kitchen has aqua and white walls. The accent pc in her dining room is a hutch which we painted aqua and the others two rooms are accented in red. I love this color combo!!
ReplyDeleteNote: painting with red on walls is awfully hard! haha :)
