Christmas Giveaway
I maybe a little pokey this holiday season but I haven't lacked in the spirit of giving! I do much better in giving than receiving, so with that in mind, and to celebrate this last week of rushing, I'm hosting a quick Christmas giveaway. Now, you won't get it before the holiday but you will have a seasonal apron if you win. So, if you'd like to win a Christmas apron, just leave your answer here to the question of " What makes you Merry this season? I'll draw the winner on December 27th and ship your apron for the New Year! From my blog to yours, Merry Christmas and good luck!

Good Morning Sue Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful way to end the year on your blog. I love it. I have so enjoyed blogging with you this year and look forward to 2011.
What makes me Merry this season? Well that is a pretty easy answer for me. My health this year. As I spent those 10 days in the hospital, and losing most of my speaking voice permanently, I am so grateful for my health and what voice I have left, it has given me a whole new outlook on life. It has made me SO merry this holiday season sweet friend.
I am also Merry about all of my blogging friends, like you. Yes health and friends, and of course all of the family being together for the holiday season. That is what makes me Merry. I thank you for asking.
Please add my name to the drawing for one of you beautiful aprons of love sweet friend.
May God Bless you and your family with all of life's finest blessings this CHRISTmas season.
Many hugs and so much love, Sherry

I feel really bad for not visiting as often as I used to. It seems I am to busy this time of year. Have a Very Merry Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Sue!!
ReplyDeleteWhat makes me Merry this season is making gifts for friends. Winter break so the kids and I don't have to get up before the sun does. Having Jesus in my heart and not being stressed about preparing for Christmas... it's all about Him and not about me. :)
I would love to win an apron, thank you for the generous giveaway! One of my favorite things to do is bake and a lovely apron would be fun to wear!
Blessings from Jessica
Thank you so much for doing this !
ReplyDeleteWhat makes me merry? Just knowing that I am saved by the blood of the lamb !
Also at this time of year, I love to see how much I can do for others. Nothing is too small if it is done with love.
I just love it !
Pat
Hey Sue.
ReplyDeleteWhat makes me Merry?? Well my name is Mary so I always am Merry (Mary). LOL!!
I am Merry because I have a friend or two and we act silly and laugh and have fun. That is being Merry. The dictionary says Merry means high spirited gaiety---that's me alright. MB
What a lovely idea for a give away! Being with my little family is what makes me merry at Christmas. Good fellowship and fun times even if there were gifts.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and many blessings to you this holiday!!
What makes me merry are hearing Christmas carols, cold weather so we can light the fire and hot tea or cocoa to drink with maybe a good book to curl up with. Merry Christmas to everyone!
ReplyDeleteWhat makes me merry is knowing I have everything I need in my life and that is my beautiful daughter Erika and four wonderful brothers. Thank you for entering me in your contest. Have a Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWhat makes me Merry this Christmas is the spirit that everyone has during this time of year. I only wish they could keep it all throughout the year. I love your blog and cannot wait until the new year.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the excitement of my children. I adore seeing their faces light up. I love everything about Christmas. I look at the season and I see blessings all around and I take the time and try to be even more grateful. God's so good to us.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity to win. :)
Seeing all my sons happy for the Holidays makes me happy!
ReplyDeleteHow nice of you! Please include me in the giveaway and have a very Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMy husband has been working KC. My son has been at Job Corp in Puxico. They'll both be home for Christmas! Praise God!
ReplyDeleteIt will be good to have all my family about me...even if there's a little pouting or frowning!
~grin~
Hmmm.. What makes me merry??.. Well, off the cuff, three things make me very merry this time of year would be 1)the tree, the lights, and all my decorations.. The magic of the season! 2)bringing out all my Christmas movies, because they always bring me Christmas spirit, and 3)children, both the young and young at heart! It does my heart good to see kids so happy and excited about Christmas!!.. Wishing you blessings and lots of holiday fun in the days ahead! The big day is almost here!!! ~tina
ReplyDeletePlease enter me into your drawing ... even though I am being the Grinch this year!!! It would lift my spirits to win your lovely apron :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for holding this drawing and giving us apron lovers a chance to win one of your wonderful creations!

What makes me merry? Initially I would say seeing all the Christmas decorations coming out in the stores. Yes, that's in July these days, but it really makes me happy and gets me into the Christmas gift making/buying/planning mode. Secondly it's pulling out all the decorations and making the house cheery. Then the Christmas music starts with little reminders that it's not about the lights, tree, nor decorations, but Christmas is about remembering the birth of my savior and that makes me merry.
ReplyDeleteThere are SO many different things that make me 'merry'! I love cooking for friends and family. I am also enjoying making homemade items. Picking up my 3 year old nephew and taking him to a country Christmas parade then seeing Santa. His bright smile and beautiful blue eyes. And I am awaiting the birth of my great niece ANY day now! How much merrier can it get than a new little one?
ReplyDeleteYou are TOO sweet to offer up a gift! I don't even own an apron, so I would be thrilled.
MERRY Christmas to you!
What makes me Merry....HIS LOVE and the joy of family and friends!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat makes me merry is the love of friends and family that surround me, the gentle sounds of nature outside my window, and the sweet memories of my beautiful kitty companion who shared my life for the past 18 years.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Sue! And thanks for a chance to win one of your aprons!
ReplyDeleteI would have to say what makes me 'merry' this Christmas is my children. This is our daughter's first Christmas and our son just turned 5. There's no better feeling then sharing with them the magic and miracles that only Christmas can bring.
Sue, the first thought that comes to mind is that my family is here all together. After the passing of my FIL this summer, I knew that Christmas would be different. I thought it would be awkward, maybe alittle empty, but I'm finding the exact opposite. We are close, planning little surprises for each other, looking forward to cooking for one another, it's wonderful! Blessings to you today!
ReplyDeleteMy family always makes me Merry! I do it all for them! Love them!! Thanks for the contest!
ReplyDeleteI am merry when I can spend quality time with my family. I love shopping with my sister, going to the movies with my daughter, and most of all snuggling with my husband.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to all!!
Sue, thank you for the opportunity to let you know your recipes have made me merry these past few weeks! Your Eggnog Pie was a real hit at a party I attended. Yum! Looking forward to your blog in the future. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteOkay........what makes me happy this year? I am HOME for 3 weeks. I have never appreciated my HOME ever as much as this year since I had to go working with my fam at the college. I love staying up late..........sleeping in if I want.........sew and cook and have the grandbabies out! Sooooo that's it......plus I can visit more blogs then I can when I have to be gone! Well now that is two things. HOME says it!
ReplyDeleteHugs and love you bunches! Linda
Worship and praise time at church. Oh, how I love it. All I can do is make a joyful noise to the Lord, but it's great! At Christmas it's even more wonderful with the decorations, the lovely Christmas clothes peoples wear, and especially the the looks on the faces of the little ones. I get chill bumps celebrating the birth of Jesus. More than any tradition
ReplyDeleteor decoration or event, praise and worship brings a smile to my face and my heart.
What a delightful Christmas gift! I had so much fun with the swap I would love to be entered into your apron give away!
ReplyDeleteWhat makes me merry this time of year is the opportunities to teach my children that Christmas is not about shopping! We make our gifts and while we do, we talk....about important things.....I love watching them grow and learn. Having been blessed with them, and a fabulous husband, makes me merry!
Oh I'd love to enter. What makes me merry is giving homemade gifts to my family and friends.
ReplyDeleteHaving my family, especially my grandma, alive and health!

I keep saying I need an apron or two but never get around to making any.
ReplyDeleteThis year we have our Army Daughter home for Christmas :) It's also been chilly here so that helps make it feel like Christmas.
