Day Dreamin....

It's the last day of February and my mind is full of spring time thoughts and sunny day dreams of gardens, flowers, fresh herbs and weeding! Yes, weeding, a chore that only a gardener could enjoy or appreciate. There is no better exercise of the mind, the spirit and body. No therapy is needed when you have a garden to tend too, stress is worked out in a "green" way and the earth smiles back in flowers and heavenly scents!

Every gardener has a annual wish list and mine keeps growing faster than the weeds, but necessity ranks high on my list and I'm hoping this is the year I finally get my garden shed. My dream spot, potting place, coffee shop and storage room and the photo above is a ideal image of what I want. Something rustic, the more rustic the better. No metal kit for me, my garden shed has to be perfect from my minds eye. This beauty is perfect! It will come, till then, I keep dreaming. What is on your wish list for the new gardening season ahead?

  4. I'm with you Sue. Gimme a wood shed with a metal roof...that'd sound neat in a summer rain....and an old screen door. A Wysteria arbor'd be heavenly too.

I can't wait to be on my hands & knees planting, weeding & just plain getting up close & personal with my flowers!! I long for the smell of the earth & the aroma of after the rain!!

  7. Hi Sue
Thanks for stopping by the Back Porch.

The paint color is Laura Ashley Gold #3. You can find Laura Ashley paints at Lowes.

I think we are going to repaint the kitchen this year, sometime. Still debating the color. It really needs it. This was done with the painters watered down paints and hasn't held up well. The regular paints at Lowes are great. The guy we had used his own paint provider and made it pretty thin. You can see drywall in some places. We should have had something done about it, but by the time we were finished with everything, we just wanted to quit.LOL

  8. Hey dear friend!
I love that shed! Hope you get the desires of your heart too! I'm so with you... daydreamin of playin in the dirt. Like you, I have lots of daydreams. I've been making my Garden TA DO list: This year, I'm longing for an old DOOR for the shed. Always worry I'm gonna walk in on a varmit. AND... other than that.. window boxes, a tiny table n chair for my prayer closet and a BIRD BATH! These are a few of my daydreams. I also want to plant that snow queen hydrangea in memory of my Momma.
Hope you get your shed this year.
Your picture is a DANDY! I'd love to play in there~!

  9. Great shed Sue :) I love it!

What I would like for my garden this year is a longer growing season ;) I am hoping to have some bean trellises (teepee) for scralet runners and more hummingbird feeders too. MY garden isn't very big and I am pretty new at it so I am learning as I go. Last year I used fencing for the tomato plants and will be doing that again this year, it worked great :)

    Have a great day Sue!
