Creative Cares....
With the recent events weighing heavy on my heart and in mind, I had to turn all news sources off and do something creative and uplifting, so I made snow globes! For weeks I've been hunting in thrift stores and flea markets for jars, vases or any nice glass containers, and I found many, all under $1. Then, I went looking for bottle brushes, Walmart had many in different sizes with the most being $2. The goodies I tucked inside were either freebies from my house or found on the hunt. I made 8 snow globes for under $10! Not too shabby but oh so shabby chic! Most will be gifts but a couple will be gifts to myself, to honor this sad time. Join me in praying for peace.....

Sue, I love your snow globes. They are simply adorable, cheerful and fun. What did you use in the bottom for the snow? ;o)
ReplyDeleteI really like the snow globes that you made. They will make great gifts!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea! I have a few jars laying around, might make a few for my boys.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!

Hello Sue, I think your idea about finding something sweet and fun to do is just using wisdom. I believe we can all feel the terrible weight of grief and sorrow with what we have just experienced in the terrible news as to what was done to these precious children.

I agree with living from joy to joy...and your snow globes are adorable...it looks like fun to make them. My favorite is the one with the church. Hugs and blessings Dee

ReplyDeleteI've had these on my "to do" list for a few years now! You did a great job, and I'm happy to hear the project was a pleasant distraction from the horror in Newtown.

So cute! I just saw the bags of that snow on clearance night before last when I was out. I bet I won't find any now :-( Great idea for next winter, though!
